How to cut down a Knight ramrod?

I'm working on shortening an old wolverine, how do i go about shortening the ramrod?

There must be some way of removing the inserts and cuting it down.

Ok,

I assume this is for the mzl you cutting the barrel down on, just how much are you looking to take off the barrel and rod??????

Taking 2.5 inches off the barrel, need to take the same off of the ramrod, and relocate the barrel band thingy(technical term).

You can cut it off and add one of them, maybe epoxy it on or drill and roll pin it in place.

I would say tubing cutters on the ram rod.
