My son shot a doe last night and we could'nt find it after searching in the dark thicket, went back this morning still did'nt find. I have one more place I can check this afternoon. How long is to long for the meat to still alright. Shot was in the shoulder.

All depends on temp, and scavengers in your area. The meat should be fine if temps were low, at least under 40 deg, but if it were my area the yotes would be on it if left overnight.

Sadly, that would likely be the case around here. Doesn't take yotes long to find them. Think they run deer trails pretty regularly.
