Nicely done. Did you fillet them? I have a hard time filleting panfish, the blade usually goes thru the backbone and it just makes a mess.

I filet all my panfish... The secret I have learned is to use an Electric Filet knife.....

I only use an electric knife also, just so people can tell me they are faster than me with a regular knife.
Try this, it helped me.
When you start your cut angle your blade so that you are actually cutting towards the head of the fish. Then as soon as you touch bone, stop and twist your knife so that you are cutting towards the tail then fire it up and go.
Might not help but I found as I was going in and then turning while it was running I was more apt to go through the backbone.
I still go through occasionally but not very often at all any more.
