High pressure

[Encore Eye Candy]

While I was shoting my Encores my son was practicing with my 10/22 mag with a 17 hmr barrel. Anyway he showed me 3 case that were cracked from the mouth of case to halfway down.

What may cause this high pressure? It was Hornady ammo 17 hmr

My bet's on just poor quality brass. The factory stuff sometimes has problems. I've got a 10mm. handgun round I saved that has the primer in sideways. Probably just a flaw in a run of brass.
