I sent that video to my buddy who guides on the Alagnak River. He said it was 30 miles from his camp which I thought was cool… and then he said… "it's a small bear" which I thought was terrifying.

It would be quick. An adult brown bear can take the head off a caribou with one swipe!!

This was " one nut" on the American River on the Katmai. Only two outfitters are allowed on the river …. Got to do the bears to do the bows.

Only been two people killed in Katmai to my knowledge and those were those loonies trying to live with the bears. Thankfully the bears killed them before they could breed!!
