I'm picking and choosing my hunting days this year....Wednesday was my last day to work. I'm off every day. I just wish the cooler weather we had earlier in the week would have lasted through the weekend. It'll be back. I'll be ready. Come on with it....

Ill be in class in the morning then so I wont be able to go til tomorrow evening. Looking like it will be awfully warm. Oh well. Just waiting on my vacation the last week of muzzy and first week of rifle!

Well if this isnt a roller coaster situation I don't know what is. My wife informs me that she has to work 7am to 3 saturday. Talk about a sad puppy. She then says but you can go saturday afternoon and don't have to be back til sunday night. My land is 30 minutes from my house so I dont stay the night. I get a call from my I guess youd can say like my uncle. The man that started me hunting who took me on the juvenille hunts when I was young. He says no one hunts up here anymore, they all started duck hunting and he has the 500 acres to himself. Imagine your dream spot you hunted as a kid where you saw lots of deer and big bucks killed every year becoming available once again. He says I don't know why you waste your money leasing land when you can always come up here. Daddy's going to the honey hole tomorrow afternoon and won't be back til sunday hopefully early afternoon. This land takes about an hour and 15 to get to, not as easy to run hunt and come home. He says an * and a 10 have been coming out in the same field at the same time every afternoon for the last few months. Please be there tomorrow afternoon! Funny how things work out.
