Have never owned a Heli M but have never heard a bad word about them. Supposedly the valley on them is a little short but that's not a bad thing IMO. I'm not a Mathews guy by any means but I don't think you would be disappointed

Heres a back up bow tip.
Buy a good, but cheap used back up bow. Because mostly it will be sitting around while you hunt with your frontline bow. And having expensive back up bows collecting dust is just not smart.

THere are REALLY GOOD deals on used bows on Craigs list. In fact, I am selling my back up because I was given a newer one.

Also it's getting time to find some good deals on used bows on archerytalk now that season is right at over and a lot of people will be buying new models for next year.

Your Mathews dealer sells a smaller diameter draw stop just for the Heli-M. It will increase the valley. Mathews provided them to their dealers after complaints of the short valley. I got one back in 2012 for my Heli-M. It was a big improvement.
