Forecast is calling for 88 degrees next Saturday! Although I am not able to hunt at all next week, I can't get too excited with temps forecast to be that high. I know it is typically not cool in early archery season, but does anybody remember hunting in temps like that?

It was in the low to mid 80s the first week of November last year in Ohio cause we kept holding off for the temps to drop before we left. According to the accuweather starting the 26 temps are going to drop to the low to mid 70s. Still warmer than I prefer but heck of a lot better than it's been since late May

Bow season always opened the same weekend in Florida as it does here. Mid 90's and high humidity were normal, if you got some temps in the 80's it was considered a cold front :D I don't miss it to much...

I think the heat bothers the hunter more than the hunted. Not saying they're motivated to move in the heat but I see them all the time in the middle of the day feeding or moving through the yard while in the 90s. It'll mean working quickly for the lucky hunters who score morning or evening.

The high was in the 80s that weekend in 2013 and 2014 also. Not quite 88 though.

I'm going because it's the only weekend I'll have a chance to go to my spot in West TN for a while. I'll hunt Sat morning and evening. I'm eager to start hunting, but I'd be REALLY excited if the temp would just be low 70s.

There was several mornings last year at the beginning of the season that it was in the mid 80's. It would be in the mid 70's an hour before daylight. I don't like it when it's that warm and hunting but I'll be out there because you can't kill them from the couch.

I'm out for opening weekend too. I'm working. Sounds like it could be worse though. I have 4 days off the following weekend though. May go one day then. I have a 120" deer on camera by every stand. Killing a 120" deer with an arrow would be great.

I've been thinking the same thing all month. We almost always have a better cool off before opening day. Seems like it happens a week or two before season begins. Hate this hot weather.

Weather Underground's forecast for Lebanon, where I live, is calling for a high of 90 on Saturday. If it gets that hot, it will be the hottest opening weekend here since 2005 when it got up to 91 on opening day that year. :x

I remember in 2007 when we had that heat wave that it was in the 90's several times in bow season.

The issue is, most guys want to hunt food plots hoping to catch a buck on a summer feed pattern, either slipping in at dark or try to hunt his staging area in the afternoon. Either you have to deal with the heat or just hunt in the morning somewhere. Morning temps are usually in the 60's. by 9 am it is time to get down and out of there.

I already got my spot picked for opener. Been in a tree 4 times already (Laurel Hill) and going back this evening to try and kill one of the does that sniffed me out yesterday.

I agree the heat sucks but it beats not being deer season :D
