He Didn't Show This Morning

I set up where I saw the 140"er yesterday morning but I guess he took the day off. I ended up seeing 6 bucks and a doe and fawn. I had a 115" 7 pointer broadside and wide open at 75 yards the same place the 140 crossed yesterday.

I think I'll give that spot a rest and try a sneaky stand spot just playing a hunch. It's right on top of the road and next to a parking area but there are some good fresh rubs right in front of where I'll sit and fresh scrapes right behind me. It seems to be one of those overlooked areas.

Older bucks are juuuust starting to cold trail and chase over here a bit. It's warming up a little at a time and we're getting real close now.

I had an 8 pointer come out of a thicket chasing a doe this morning but when he finally caught up with her he walked off one way and she went the other. I'm seeing more bucks moving but nothing is going on yet. At least another week.
