It's a solid hunting call. It won't wow you with the sound, but it's an awesome soft- to medium- range call. I used it Tuesday for the first time and was very pleased with it. It produces a two-tone yelp on the slate side that sounds completely different than the glass side. Very versatile call that likely has a permanent place in my vest.

I'm so picky with pot calls I may never be happy in the end lol. The one sound I can't stand is the hollow sound or the dead sound in a call. If it has even the slightest hint of that I'm out

I hear ya. You need to try Dawkin's plastic stoned aluminum. It's a great compliment to the Jenkins call.

I hear ya. You need to try Dawkin's plastic stoned aluminum. It's a great compliment to the Jenkins call.

Man I have tried so many aluminum calls and have yet to find one I really like. I may try that one at some point though as a last ditch effort

I have a buddy that kills every year and he is without question the worst caller I've ever heard lol. I'm aware it doesn't have to sound good to kill turkeys but I just like a certain sound personally.
