Pretty exciting hunt for me. It finally quit raining around 5:00 pm so I changed clothes and headed to the stand. About half way up it makes a loud creak, another step up and it does it again! About that time I hear a crash behind me where I had just walked past three deer go running past . I almost just got down and went to the house. Then I see they only ran about 60 yards and were just standing there. I finished getting in the stand and got set up. They milled around eating and never had a clue what happened. After about 45 minutes they were coming back into range. I'm surprised they couldn't hear my heart beating I had him at 30 but he kept coming and ended up shooting him at around 20. Went about 50 yards and crashed. If I hadn't spooked them I never would have got a shot at him. I guess I'd rather be lucky than good . I also shot another deer last year within 15 feet of him and they both crashed close to the same spot.
The old 88 Honda got to give him a ride back to the house. Sorry for the long post lol

Nice deer and good story....Sometimes I think we overthink this deer hunting stuff. Super quiet, scent free, ozone generator, evercalm, rubber boots, super duper camo etc etc.....Heck, just go huntin. Might actually get a chance....Way to go....
