I live (and hunt a lot) in East Tn, but have been running to West Tn several times a year for the last 17 years. We had our first baby this year so those runs are gonna be a lot fewer for now, but still managed to get lucky and time up a trip with a cold front coming through. Saw a lot of deer, and managed to harvest a doe for the freezer yesterday morning (completely forgot to get any pictures, but hey it's a 75 lb doe nothing crazy). Also got to check cameras for the first time out there since they were hung in August, and had a ton of deer on them, lots of does and 1 yo bucks, several very nice up and comers, and 2 maybe 3 bucks I would definitely shoot including a really funky, big 6. All in all a really good time except for not getting to hit up little Josh's for some catfish. Also a tip of the cap to Andy S. on here, we live on opposite sides of the state and have never even met in person, but he took the time to locate some primers for me while I was out that way to swap my ML over to blackhorn powder this year.

Congrats on the doe. Good luck on the buck... If you get to go back. I remember when my son was born, I was supposed to be allowed to go whenever, lets just say that didn't happen. I did get to go, just not as much as usual.
