Anybody ever use GunKote protective finish? Got a slightly rusted rifle and didn't know whether to just reblue it or try this finish to make an all weather gun.
I've used it on knives and a pistol but not a rifle. You have to bake it at 300 degrees to cure it so I hope you have a big oven that will fit your rifle.
Also you need to prep the gun by sandblasting it with fine grit Al-oxide and then de-grease it with a good gun degreaser to get it to work well. There are some good videos of the process on Brownell's website.
