I have in possession a vintage S&W Regulation Police Pre-Model 31, 5 screw, hand ejector, 32 Long CTG. It needs some gunsmith work as hammer locks up after first cycle which in my understanding was a common issue for this model. Has about 25% blueing loss on cylinder. Family heirloom and never fired it myself.......I know nothing about the history of this particular pistol. Does anyone know what I could expect the "as-is" value to be on this revolver? I see a couple on GB priced in good condition between $800-$900 but no bids on them.

You can search Gun Broker and see what they actually sold for, instead of what someone is asking. It's in the "advanced search", you have to log in.

The only ones I see that sold for high dollars were near mint.

I can't blow that picture up to look at it, but from what I can see and your description I'd agree with 350-450.
There's one in there thats rough and needs work that only had bids to $24. You'd think the grips would be wroth that; but I guess not. :)
