Gun vice

I want a vice to work on my guns with but I really want a shooting rest to shoot from at the range.

I seen a vice at Walmart fir $25 ish. Any experience with these? I would like a led sled but they are more than I can afford in my gun budget yet.

A vice may be good for working on a gun. It is the worse thing for shooting off of I had rather use a rolled up coat that a vice to shoot from. It will not dampen the shock like a bag.

Do you buy sand bags or make them?

a vise thing might be ok for cleaning

but never ever shoot a rifle with one


a basic "bunny ear" rear rest and sand bags for the front




or

this type of a front rest but you dont grip or clamp the front part of the rifle

I have 2 vises, this is a cheapo from harbor freight.

I shoot off sand bags
