Went and hung my stand Monday afternoon in a great spot up in KY.
I am already awake but don't even care to go.
Kinda wish I had the drive, there is a better than average shot I would see a MONSTER and possibly get him in bow range. Dunno, guess I'm getting old.

I'm about done for this year myself buddy...just can't muster up any enthusiasm to make myself go anymore. I know I'll regret not going when the season closes, but for now, no desire to go. Never done this before, always out there till the last day in years past. I'm hoping its just a combination of everything that has been going on this year that has put me in this funk. Good luck getting back out there. ;)

I think a lot of us are feeling it. I've shot and lost one big free with muzz ... then Monday I had a 140+ ten at thirty yards and just knocked white hair off it and I was really down about that then I bumped him on my way out and he was bigger than I originally thought. I've never had this problem . I've only lost 1 buck and only missed one since I've been hunting. But I'm gonna try for it again

Ive committed to going in the morning lately only to find myself sleeping in.

Late season I tend to hunt more evenings. It's not as cold and I don't lose any sleep lol

Hey Ruger I'm right there with ya.
I'm off for several days and I didn't even set the alarm this morning.
Trying to talk myself into an afternoon hunt.

Sat overlooking a field this morning. 90 minutes after daylight I went back inside. Didn't see the first deer. Saw 5 yesterday evening. But with a freezer full it's hard to go. Was hoping somebody down this way needed a deer but I haven't been able to find somebody.

I haven't been since muzzleloader season. Even then, I only went twice...and saw one doe. Too much life getting in the way of my hunting. Oh well, there's always next year.

I'm with ya man. I haven't been since the Sunday after Thanksgiving. I hadn't had the urge to go much this year for some reason. I'm busy with work and school and maybe that has just wore me out more than i think and when i do get free time i just relax on the couch. I was excited running cameras and corn in the off season and checking my inventory but when it came time to hunt i didn't care lol.

2 sundays ago i got in the shower and got ready to go hunt my Tn place. Before i left the house i talked myself out of going.

Every one of these posts is me. Have not been in 23 days. And dont know why i am not wanting to go? I am off the next 4 days work 3 then off 4 more thought i would really want to go but its not happening. Set alarm this morning turned it off laid there a few minutes & just didnt get up. Guess i also miss going with my son but he is so busy he just doesnt have any free time. He came home yesterday for Christmas & left by 6pm to head back home as he had to work early this morning.

Haven't been hunting since Thanksgiving weekend, but primarily because I'm pretty much "limited out" for my place. However, cameras are showing an influx of does and fawns over the last couple of weeks, so I'm going to try and add another deer (female) to the freezer this weekend.

I have a really bad head cold and just couldn't make myself get up and go this morning. Think I will head out after lunch. I am wondering if I can sit in the stand and blow my nose with out making any noise. I guess we will see.

If I thought I might see a shooter I would there, my problem is I pretty much know I'm not gonna see a descent buck and might not even see a doe

I'm trying to push through it since we have a week and a half left in the season. One more deer might get that "this season sucks" off my mind. Will have 2 weeks off then heading to Alabama for a couple of days hunting with my Dad. This trip is more about hunting with my Dad then really anything else so I am looking forward to it.

Where are hou guys at, ill come shoot some freezer fillers for ya ;-) mines still empty

Same here. Passed on a doe with a fawn, then had a buck at 30 yards with no clear shot with a bow. Went back looking for him during muzzle loader to find the areas being pressured. Going to hit my buddies farm and another WMA the last part of the season. Hope to connect at least once, but would like two or three in the freezer.

I still got the fire going and will go into withdrawals when the season closes. Guess its because this is only my 3rd season. I almost got one with a bow yesterday while stillhunting, what a rush. I can't wait to get back in there and try again. Late season I want to shoot anything and especially with a bow up close, since I've already killed a few with the gun I like the late season excitement of close range deer with a bow. I have about given up on a good buck this year so why not enjoy the rest of the season. But like I said its only my 3rd year and I've still got a lot of drive, and experience to gain.

At 2:47 AM I can't find anything, either. Methinks it is inversely related to the position of the sun to the warmth in my bed. Or soemthing like that.

I saw 4 Cardinals this AM. I have to work or'd be in the woods.

I have a lack of desire to endure misery just to find myself in an over-hunted section of woods.

If I had somewhere QUIET to go and hunt and be left alone, I'd do it, but I'm exhausted from avoiding people all the time. 2-mile hikes and long drives and expensive gas gets pretty old when you are just trying to find a deer heavier than 60 lbs to shoot.

I have one spot left that I'm excited to try, but I haven't been able to break free to do it. It will involve borrowing my dad's boat, and is consequently too involved for the amount of time I have left to commit.

Realistically speaking, I probably won't get the chance before the season closes, but I'm going to try around New Year's.

DEFINITELY feeling the "oh, why bother" feeling lately, though. I'd be fired up if I had a sure-thing place to take my son or my newbie hunting buddy from work, but that's just not in the cards this year.

Been that way alk year for me I got on a nice new lease and been 3 times..I have maked several trips to ft campbell just to turn around and go back home..lol don't have a clue
