Got to catch a couple smallmouth

One was on a roostertail and the other was on a Bobby garland monkey milk jig.
Lots of fun on 6# test
One of them jumped 5 times before I wore him down

They're fun for sure. No comparison between the fight of a smallie vs a largemouth. Like catchdawg, I'm only about 10 minutes from. Some great smallie water.

There is a reason why I drive close to 1200 miles to catch them. Well, when they open the border again, I will be going back. Ontario has the best smallmouth fishing on the planet and what makes it the best is the fact that we almost never see another boat or a person while we are there.

There's an old saying that a 3 lb. SM could pull a 6 lb. LM all over the lake. Don't know if it's true, but after 20 some odd years of chasing SM, I would say pretty close to true.
