In a river hopefully!
With some skinny creeks thrown in….

3 old guys took off at dawn. We whacked the reds back in a skinny creeks. Right at 20. Only one trout.

Two were SC tagged fish. Redeem for a prize, and a written history on the fish.

Two old retired PA's ( one that was in the Navy on a sub for most of his career), and a EE from Duke that later worked for SC DNR.

So much awesomeness in one post. Congratulations!

Looks like the old timers had a blast. Salt water fish are my nemesis

Looks like you're enjoying retirement👍
I have been until my wife got sick last year. Chemo is over and she is getting back to normal slowly but surely by the grace of God. So, I'm starting to get out more. Friday will be wading the marsh for tailing reds as the moon tides are coming this week. Flyrods, lines, flies are ready!!!

Tailing reds in the Spartina grass is a blast. I really like your fly pattern! What's it called?

The ones on the bottom are my version of a ALPHONSE FLY. A mesh fly.

The really cool one on top is a Oysterstreetco fly. I bought some of those and that's his photo. I also bought some claws and markers..what else do you do with retirement ? The " fiddle" is actually 3D printed and then painted with markers.

Steve Nifong moment again….. he called me one day and said I really needed to try the new Rio Redfish line ….. and yes, I did!

Thanks for the reply. Those flies look good. I would always throw a weighted Chernoble Crab and some weighted shrimp flies I tied. Ill have to get me some of these to try. I never tried the Rio Redfish line. Is it similar to a bass bug taper?
