I'll share one more. It was from this dock at our house on the Caloosahatchee river that I fell in love with fishing.

My dad would get me a few dozen shrimp on Fridays after school and I'd have him set an alarm for sunrise on Saturday and Sunday. I would stay on the dock all day unless he made me come inside.

It's where I saw my first tarpon roll, caught my first snook, redfish, drum, etc. I'll never forget the time I threw a shrimp under the dock trying to catch a snapper for dinner and setting the hook only to have a 100+Lb tarpon come erupting from under the dock. From that point forward, I have been obsessed with them.

Back in my younger days about 6 months ago. We were dirt floor poor when I was a child and seriously doubt my parents had a camera Kind of what you expect when I'm the youngest of three boys and my parents were just kids themselves living off of like $4.00 an hr

Fishing with a buddy who died about 6 years ago.
Routinely averaged 40-50 sauger each trip.
Nothing like launching in single digits on New Year's Day with a snow shovel in the boat.

1968 and I was 4 and big sis was 5. Starkville MS on MSU campus at Eckies pond. If it wasn't my first fishing trip then it was the second or third. Cane pole, cork and a cricket.
