Fished Thursday afternoon and Friday morning drifting below Wheeler Dam in Alabama. To say that the fishing was good would be an understatement. It was all white bass, hybrids and rockfish. I would have to guess somewhere between 75 and a hundred fish easily. Just a few hybrids but the rockfish were on fire. Friday morning we easily caught 2-3 rockfish for every white caught. They ranged from 1.5 to 26 pounds and everything in between. We fished live bait a little Thursday afternoon and not at all on Friday. Lure of choice was 3" Z-man minnows in pearl on a 1 oz. jig head that I pour myself.

My hands are chewed up and hurting this morning from handling fish. Here's a few pics.

WOW that is impressive! I feel lucky if I catch one of those fish!

PS: You do know they make fishing gloves? I get tired of getting spiked when I'm catching white bass and use them. A lot faster getting them off when you aren't worried about getting stuck :)

(that was not meant as an insult just having fun :) :) )

Lol....yea I've never worn them. Beat up and bruised hands are a sign of a good wheeler trip. [emoji3]

Looks like a GREAT trip! How deep were most of them?
You had to let those jigs get to the bottom and keep them just above as we drifted with the current
