Well, the deer were there, but I zigged when I should have zagged I reckon. I was shifting on my stand, that I had purchased from a member here which shall remain nameless :whistle: , and as I shifted my weight from one foot to the other, the stand shifted too and made a double thumping sound(missing the bushings between the platform and the main frame, loose, in other words)...then I heard the thumping sound of another sort, the sound of a deer galloping by me! No blowing, no stomping, so I'm guessing a buck. Fastforward to just before dark, and I'm thinking no more deer, I can barely see to shoot now, so I'm coming down. I grab my little gear pouch from the side of the tree and as it scrubs the bark a little, blowing erupts upon the ridge behind me! :cry: I just couldn't win for losing yesterday! But all in all, still great to be out in the woods again, thank you Lord!
