Well I spent all of last week in Florida chasing tarpon.Still haven't landed one but it sure was fun trying.Jumped my first one sunday but it threw the hook because I was in awe as it jumped and I failed to "bow to the silver king".Jumped my second one while shark fishing and it broke the #65 braided line because of a faulty rod tip.Did everything right on fish #3,fought it hard about 20 minutes before the hook just pulled out for whatever reason but it was still fun.Overall had a great time catching sharks and sail cats while tarpon fishing and redfish and trout between storms.Can't wait until next august to give it another shot.

It was awesome,fresh water fishing just can't compare.The water color was a little off that day and it seemed to effect the big shark bite.Caught several 3 to 4 footers,which fight like absolute beasts so I can only imagine what one over 200 would be like.I've still got a bone to pick with the tarpon though.But come november I'll be back down there harrasing the redfish and trout again.Can't wait.
