G45 MOS screw failure

After 2 years of use the mos plate screw sheared off in my slide. I'd heard not to use the oem plate and screws to mount the dot sight on. I guess the recoil over a couple years did it. Anyway, it's at the gunsmith to get drilled out and extracted. Lesson learned, I'll buy a C&H plate and screws for it.

That sucks. Looks like it should be a fairly straightforward fix

I used an aftermarket plate on my new G45. It mounts the Delta Pro Point just a smidge higher than normal but it uses all the holes for the optic.

C&H plate and purple vibra tite is the answer. The oem plates are fine… until they aren't.

MNPD won't authorize the Glock factory plates for duty use due to the same failure you experienced.
