i took my new to me white mountain carbine out for a shooting session a few days ago. i was trying to shoot a patched round ball in it [ all i had at the time on hand ], it shot ok with 60grs of 3fff 70 was decent 80 it was all over the place. i later learned out to check the rate of twist in the barrel from our very own wobblyshot. it turns out its a 1 in 20 which is way to fast for the patched round ball.i pick up some maxi-balls and sabots to try at a later date. either way it was a fun day just watching the black powder burn.i cant wait to till i get the funds to purchase a true tennesse rifle just to add to my ever growing collection. lol
