So taking my gf for her first year if hunting has been really amazing. Patient and wants to learn. Tonight on a new property at 530 we see a really tall young 6 and he is at 129 yards but won't come out enough for her to shoot. She then says I see another one coming in and out of the high grass. I can't see him but when he materialized out of the grass he is 6 inches outside the ears on both sides and at least 10 point. She can't get on him at the angle and neither could i. Reason because he was 29 yards right beside us and it was getting dark in the blind fast. Exciting to see her get deer fever and then buck fever and even the disappointed look when we had to let him walk. Hope he come back in the morning but either way it was a great experience with her and with a monster buck.

In the morning I'm going back to the same blind just without her. She has to work. Best part is she said get that biggun and leave me the small one for Sunday. I love this girl

Just be carefully the woods do a strange thing to a woman. Gets them all excited :) . I took my wife turkey hunting when we just starting seeing each other. A month later we had a nice surprise. And the deed transpired the same day we got back from hunting. We called him our little Turkey. 4 years later I have a wonderful family and hopefully in a few years a great hunting buddy. He loves the outdoors and has to be doing anything i am. The little Turkey sat outside last weekend in the dark and cold by my side the whole time as i cleaned my deer.
