Does it work. I put three whitetail clover plots in before deer season deer used them all season but the clover is very thin was thinking of frost seeding over it . I need to know when and how to do it because the seed cost a lot and don't want to wast it. Thank You

Does it work...absolutely. I did some clover recently but will also add that FROST or freeze-thaw is required. It's been so warm and rainy that I would not bea bit surprised if some of it has actually germinated already.

My very best plots over the years have been frost seeded.

I have been doing it on and off for over 10 years, works well,
I'm going to over seed some Cave-in-Rock Switch Grass this year
in some of my clover

That ground gets real soft, wet and fertile with those last two or three frosts, warming up in the day. Gonna plant next weekend, some white clover for my plots. And you can't lose, because if it stays warmer, you get more growth by turkey season

I've got a few old plots on a lease that have something I'm not sure what growing in them. I want to frost seed them in clover does this work in this enviroment or do I have to kill whatever is growing now and expose the dirt below?
