Anyone know where I can find some fox squirrels to hunt in middle Tn? Nv killed one
I have only ever seen a few in my lifetime in TN, but they are around. It's strange because you'll just randomly find them every once in a while. I even found an Albino Squirrel while deer hunting in Fentress County several years ago. just kinda run into em in my experience

Here is West TN they are typically near agriculture fields in the woods. I usually see a handful a year while deer hunting. Killed several in my life.

More fox than grey at my grandpa's place in Smith county. Could kill a limit of them there years ago. His sister and brother in, law my gt aunt and uncle, owned the other side of the holler. I miss hunting there. They have all passed on now.

I shot this one a dozen years ago. I think they are beautiful.

I wonder what keeps them in the places where they are at? I've seen some places where they're thick as all get out and others spots... nothing.

I'm in Shelby County and play golf at a country club. We are covered up in fox squirrels. They are literally everywhere and so used to hackers, they don't run away. Just hop to the other side of the nearest tree. I've never seen a gray squirrel on this property. We have a huge piece of property. We have two full 18 hole courses plus an 18 hole par 3.

I saw a very large and old one Sunday. Tail was completely white. In fact, when I first saw him, I thought it was a skunk.

i should say, if you come to "play golf" on a cold day when greens are covered,we could sneak around in a golf cart armed with a pellet rifle and you'd run out of pellets.

We used to have some on one ridge on our place. I bet it's been 25 years since I've seen one. They were beautiful and huge.
Dad bought the place in 1968. I was 8. Back in the day the ridge slowly dropped down to a corn field. The corn field is long gone now. Mature pine tree are there now.
