A friend of mine found this piece in his garden yesterday. After finding this one, they started looking and found six more similar pieces, but this was the nicest one. It looks like maybe a shale stone with a "seam" of sorts around the edge. On the back side there is some evidence of something similar, but it is not nearly as strong of markings. My guess is it is some sort of a fossil, but not sure. Maybe it is a natural formation?
