I just stumbled across this and thought I'd post.

Food Truck rodeo @ Shelby Farms Park.

Just browsing through their Calender it looks like beginning this month and continuing through the Fall; Sundays they will be near the Visitors Center @ Patriot Lake and Monday-Friday in the gravel lot, south of Walnut Grove Road, near BMX track.

Monday - Hunger Monkey, Pig N Out BBQ, Gourmet Grillers

Tuesday - Central BBQ, Fuel, Millie's Garden

Wednesday - Pop's Smokehouse, Fuel, Tamale Trolley

Thursday - Central BBQ, Tamale Trolley, Millie's Garden

Friday - Quincy's, Tamale Trolley, Lick the Plate

Anyone know anything about these trucks?

I've never stopped at one, but some are getting a pretty good reputation. Fuel Cafe's truck is supposed to be top of the line, but I'd have to say that the Tamale Trolley is really grabbing my attention.

We went to this Sunday. I think were 7 or so trucks there.

I may have some of the names wrong, I am going from memory and off the list at the top of this thread of trucks scheduled to attend throughout the month. For some reason the website doesn't list the trucks scheduled to be there on Sundays.

-Pop's Smokehouse, small BBQ pulled pork with slaw. My daughter got this and I tried a couple of bites. The price was right, 3 bucks. The Neighbors girls got them as well, 2 sammiches for $5.00. I'd give it a 6 out of 10.

-Gourmet Grillers, Beef Brisket sandwich with garlic horseradish aioli it came with herb seasoned(rosemary) fries. A little pricey at $12.00 but it was a lot of food. 7.5 out of 10.

-I can't remember the name and nothing in the list looks familiar but my son got a fried Catfish and Shrimp Basket with fresh cut fries $8.00 I'd give it 8.75 out of 10.

-again I can't remember the name...I got a Philly cheese with peppers/onions $8.00 I'd give it 8.25 out of 10.

-Finally the kids got snowcones from a truck that only sold...snowcones $2.00 for a small. That is the truck I want to own/run. 10 bucks for shaved ice and a few quirts of flavored syrup. I did not try it...but the kids liked them.

-I think Millie's Garden was there...it looked more along the line of fancy salads/vegetarian dishes and whatnot. I passed.

-Stickem Food Truck was there. They serve food on a stick. It looked good it is on my list for next time. (Mmmm impaled meats)

The place was fairly busy, but no long lines/waits for food or anything. Plenty of places to sit down and eat. We will be back. I really hope they mix in new trucks as much as possible.
