I started my first food plot last year. I cleared land and planted winter wheat. I have doubled the size of the plot this year. What should I plant in the added size of the plot for the Spring?

I would opt. for a perrennial, depending on what will grow there, alfalfa, clover, or chicory, or a mix of two or three of these.

The wheat will grow and seed out and die early summer. Plant corn and beans in the whole area and cut rows at the end of july. Cut the rows to give you the best shooting lane for the season and the most sunlight for the ww/der. In the rows plant winter wheat and DER as soon after you cut them with moisture in the forcast.
