food plot recommendations

alright guys I got a question on what to plant

this is an area we just cleared a few weeks ago, to the left as you look at the picture is pines, oaks ect.... to the right is a trail down to a creek that is pretty beat down from deer cutting across the area. It is on a hill and gets alot of sunlight and not a good place to put something that needs water. Ideas?

the next area is down in a creek bottom, soft soil and lots of water nearby, probably about 20 to 20 ft from the creek. lots of oak trees around.

Wow,those pines should holsd some deer,Id try Buckwheat for the summer,BUT,do a soil sample,its worth it.

Id turn over and lime it to specs. Then let nature take care of it this summer and natural weed seed to germinate for browse. then in the late fall plant a mix of rye grain, annual clover and maybe some cowpeas. Also fertilize it to spec in the fall.

yeah,be careful with fert in the summer,will encourage graasses
