I know this is not TN fishing, but this summer I will most likely be going on vacation with the family to Cape May, NJ and will do as much fishing as possible. Last time I only caught dogfish and skate, not much fun. Clams and squid most likely for bait.
I have wanted to catch a flounder previously, and this year I really want to make it happen.
I will be only surf fishing in several locations on the beach. No boats, but there are some rocks in places to get out a bit farther to cast.
Has anyone been to the shore and caught flounder? Got any advice if so? Tide level, bait, location, presentation, etc.... Thanks all. If nobody's been flounder fishing, let's talk about some river channel cats or something...
