Flint Knapping

I found an arrowhead reject about 15 years ago. And decided to try my hand at flint knapping. pics later.

You might wanna wear safety glasses, the chips fly every direction.

I wore sunglasses. And I have a huge blister on my thumb now.

You using an antler or some copper? #4 soft drawn CU mounted in a dowl rod works great and its easy on your hands. Good luck........it aint easy!

I was using a full set of horns from a deer I shot last year. I didnt have the heart to break a tip off.

ya a peice of copper wire in a dowel works alot better than a full set of antlers

so does a finishing nail and a short dowel, it will give you tennis elbo
