What yall think about fishing at around near outside tn. state border line waters when you launch your boat in tn. waters!
Do you go around your way to buy out of state license? or.. the heck with it, the fish are bitin over there and im goin to fish it right now!
I know most of tn. border line waterways have no sign saying that your heading "out of state" . now, i know dale hollow lake is shared with kentucky so you can fish both sides with either license. I was wonderin if there was any grace waterway miles for another state .

TN has a bunch of reciprocal agreements with several bordering states. In other words, you only need a license from one of the two states to fish (no matter which state you happen to be fishing in within the designated water).

The caveat is that sometimes, the creel laws are different for each state. You may be within the law in one state and then motor over the state boundary and be breaking the law.

Offhand, I can think of a few reciprocals - Pickwick Lake and some parts of the TN River, Dale Hollow, the Smokies, the Mississippi River (I know with Arkansas and probably with Missouri too). All kinds of exceptions though because of WMAs and such. I'd look into it before assuming a reciprocal agreement.
