Fishing guide on old hickory or priest? Update

Anyone have any personal experience with a guide on either of these? Really like to get on the water soon and have some fun, having some fish to eat would be great too.

I heard good things about Brian. Saw one of his boats on Old Hickory a couple years ago. Those kids were wearing out the white bass.

I think that would depend on his/your schedule. Guiding is not his only job. I'm sure if you communicated that you wished to fish with him, he would try to accommodate.

Ended up getting in touch with Brian Carper last week, one of my sons and I went Saturday. We had Arnie Shanklin for a guide . We left from Fate Sanders and there was also a crappie tournament there, super heavy fog so I wasn't sure how we'd do. But he did a good job and we had a fun trip. It's kinda slow with live scope and two people taking turns but I still managed a few while it was my son's turn and even doubled up. Ended up with 14 keepers and only one short fish. May go back in the spring and fish with him again.

There was a ton of boats out , every ramp we passed looked pretty busy.

It's a very busy lake. It serves a very large population of you look at the cities around the area. It's a wonder it is as fertile as it is. I try to never fish it on the weekends but my son wanted to go, so I made an exception. If you come back in the spring you'll likely be shocked at all the boat traffic

A weekend on Priest in Spring is an anxiety filled nightmare. Such a good fishery but an absolute cluster when everyone hits it at once. I swore off weekends long ago, too.
