Been hunting bucks most of November and passed a high end 2.5 year old yesterday. But I've been needing some jerky meat and wanted to burn some powder on a deer.

Been killing deer for 4 years and just now got one with a ML. Didn't even try until late last year.

She was the 3rd I saw this morning and the first that didn't spook downwind. She saw me get the gun up only 25 yards away but that was too late. She had at least 1 with her and crashed pretty quick. Got it on video, will have that up later.

Now I have the jerky meat I need, and hopefully the big boy makes one mistake for me here soon...

Thank y'all. Pulled the teeth she was 5.5 years old and appeared to have one fawn. Didn't cut the milk sac but it seemed to have some in it.

Oh and she had a lot of fat on her. More than most deer I've killed. Threw a couple chunks in with the trimmings and see if it goes well in the ground meat.

Congrats on the nanny doe. Nice one.

I saw one leading her fawn or small doe at eleven but it was a lot thicker than my early morning stand. At 6:30-something a really nice buck put the breaks on after trotting into my scent pool. Would've worked out if only we'd been on the same side of the big red oak my Viper was hanging on. lol. That's deer hunting.

Glad you got your's!
