First one down for the year. Did an all day sit today and saw deer moving all day long. This was the 15th buck I saw and killed him about 30 min before dark. Ranged him at 184 yards and he never took a step. Love the savage smokeless. Main frame 8 with kickers made him a 14 pt.

Houston County. Best day I've had in a long time by far. Large green creek bottom field with thicket on one side. Some bucks cruising and some just feeding. Didn't see any chasing today but did have a couple of different fawns that were by themselves that hung around most of the day. That leads me to believe mama was somewhere on a date. I got a pretty good video of a decent 8pt making a rub behind me. I'll try to throw it on here in a new post if I can figure out how. Good luck to all.
