Decided to bite the bullet and go for a set of heavyweights. Just my luck no xxxl.
Got a pair of their north branch pants for Christmas - I can't recommend them enough.

Well, I got some of my new gear. Let me just preface this post with... I spent too much money. But I'm a major believer in wool.
I bought the LLano QZ and a balaclava last year from a sale on CamoFire. The Llano is nice but I have some Core4Element 2950 merino 1/4 zip pieces that are just as nice so it rarely got worn. The First Lite Balaclava was awesome though. It's nothing more than a merino wool face mask but I wore it in sub 30 degree weather and didn't freeze out. I also wore it in 70 degree weather and didn't sweat out. When I didn't have it with me.. I really wished that I had.
So on to the new stuff.. I ordered in two separate orders to spread the costs out. The first order I got the Chama QZ, the neck gaitor, and brimmed beanie. They are my new favorite pieces of gear. The Chama QZ is THEE most comfortable piece of gear or clothing that I have ever worn. I'm going to need one in a solid color for casual wearing. It's decently thick and pretty warm but you need a wind breaker. The neck gaitor is so versatile and since its merino as well I imagine that I can wear it through the entire deer and turkey seasons. I'm still torn on the brimmed beanie. It fits me well and its warm but... just strange enough that I'm just not ready to wear it in public... lol
The second order hasn't come in yet but I decided to get the Kanab 2.0 and a pair of the gloves. I don't have any wool pants and the Kanab 2.0's would complete my new set of gear.
Anyway I'm pretty stoke about the new gear and thought I would share. The sale is still going on if anyone wants to try it out. I would highly recommend the Chama QZ or the Labrador Full Zip and any of the head gear.

The Chama pieces are awesome. If you get a chance to get the Chama hoodie at a good sale price, jump on it. I absolutely love mine.
I have the Kanab 1.0 pants and they are probably my second favorite piece of hunting clothing next to the Chama hoodie.
I am a huge First Lite fan. I've been known to wear my Chama hoodie around the house. [emoji3]

Yeah, the more I wear that Chama the more I'm looking at the Chama hoodie in a solid color.
I also have a Labrador full length zip that I bought a couple years ago (again off CamoFire). I love that thing. When I am outside or in my garage working it keeps me warm and I don't seem to sweat as much. If I wear a hoodie instead I end up sweating and then I get cold.

Yep, I got the Labrador from Camofire back in 2011. That was a sweet deal. Check Midway USA for First Lite deals as well. They run an end of season sale. I loaded up there last year.
