Well this morning, I harvested my first deer of the year. Took the shot right before 8am. I thought it was a large doe from about 45 yds ... Turned out to be this pretty good-bodied spike - still in full velvet. It's pretty good sized, body wise and I don't believe he's that young. I just couldn't believe he still hadn't shed any velvet at all. Still glad to have gotten out there this morning and thankful for this deer.

Well done, congrats! Which AR is that? I bought the AR 31 when they first come out but never got that comfortable with it. This was years ago obviously.

CB, that's an AR32. I've had it about 10 years. Great speed.

i guess I was wrong on my "31" then. I was thinking when they first come out, they had 31,34,37. Its been too long. This was probably 15-17 years ago. I think my problem was the let off. Not as much the percentage as it was all at the very last second and if I tried to relax any at full draw it would jerk my arm lol. REALLY loved everything else about it. Shot mine out to 80 yds. (Just for kicks and giggles) I could hit my large styrofoam target every time.

Congrats on kill. I bought a AR-34 back in 2003. Ending up killing 11 deer and 4 turkeys with it till I replaced it in 2013 with a Hoyt Spyder. I would have stayed with the brand had PSE kept it going. I loved that bow! Wish I would have kept it, but ended up selling it last year with all the accs, case & arrows to a buddy that needed one after a divorce for 250. One of the top bows I've owned in 30 years of shooting.

I still have several bucks in velvet but it seem like the yearling deer keep their velvet longer. Congratulations on the kill
