The time is finally here..... I grilled up sauted up some squash out of the garden this afternoon for lunch.... The garden is doing great and everything seems to be coming right along...

Got to love this time of year with all the anticipation of the coming gardening pickings and cannings. :)

I have got about 10 zucchini and 3 yellow squash so far. That is the only thing I have that is close to producing. It will be a few weeks before we get tomatoes and many weeks on everything else.

Canned the first 12 jars of beans today White Half Runners gotten 2 cukes everything else looking great

Pretty much the same here, getting plenty of zucchini and some radishes. Plenty of big green tomatoes that would be good fried but man I hate to pick the big green ones as they will probably be the first to ripen.
My Golden Queen corn is starting to "tassle" won't be long before it starts putting on ears.
I love this time of year when the fruits of our labors start to come in.

I agree on the fresh food. We have been having tomatoes for about a week now--first ripe tomatoes I ever had on the 1st of June--usually about July 4th. Green beans, new potatoes, squash, Zucchini and different greens and such. Love it...

A bit slower here in CO. All of my stuff is up and growing daily. I can literally tell the difference fm day to day. Tomato plants have tripled in size since they were planted about the last of April (w/walls of water). I've been eating chard since the middle of April but they came back on their own fm last year. I should have some turnip greens big enuf to eat in about another week. A lady in our Church brought some garden raised turnip greens to our potluck today and said she has all ready been eating them for several weeks, so turnips will get planted before my turkey season to W TN next year. Nights are warming up now. Up until a couple weeks ago, we were getting down in the 40s at night.
I'll try to break down and take some pics. Ray

We picked 5 gallon of Roma II's (our favorite) a flat bush bean yesterday, broke them today at the office. We are going to can them on Saturday. We have also got around 20 squash and maybe 7-8 cucumbers, 8-10 tommy toes, and one baseball size Bradley so for. We are hoping we have a good tomato turn out, we have 69 plants of several different kinds.
