I took up archery as a kid and dabbled with bowhunting with a Bear Kodiak back when I was 18. But, no luck. (With no mentor, it took a while to figure out that wind direction was important.)
I continued to shoot for fun over the years, even taking my gear on a one year trip to Korea, courtesy of the Army.
After taking deer over the years with all manner of weapons, I finally decided this year to actually go back to bow hunting. Time to retire the Browning Safari. I bought a used Hoyt and fancy carbon arrows to get me in business.
After 34 years, I was back in the woods with a bow, after the elusive suburban Clarksville deer.
A 125gr Thunderhead, high angle double lung, and I'm hooked again.
