Been a year since I have killed a deer.
In fact it was muzzleloader of last year the last time I did.
My dad's death kinda ended my desire to hunt last year so I never killed a deer after the start of muzzleloader season.
Had two fully mature does come in from behind me Sunday morning.
I took the shot of about 100 yards and actually missed.
Not sure if I just missed or if I hit a limb.
Actually pretty sure I hit a limb.
I got re-loaded and they continued their path of right to left travel behind the stand.
After I got re-loaded and stood up on the seat of the ladder stand and got a good prop.
I could see them between the fork of a tree out in the next field past the little ditch.
They were standing "about" where the red dot is in the picture.
Got lucky and put a "perfect" shot on her at 145 yards or so.
She ran about 50 yards before "air circulation issues" forced her to give it up.
I didn't get to weigh her and I wish I would have, she was a nice one.
I would say field dressed around 100-110 pounds.
