For the last two months I have been rehabbing a rotator cuff surgery and fishing was impossible. If you've had the surgery you know. Some of you know that rockfish fishing is my thing I love and I normally do it a lot. So yesterday a buddy took me in his boat as I'm still a ways away from being able to launch and operate a boat. Only managed one fish and it was a smaller one compared to what we normally catch but being able to be there, hookup and to be able to handle getting it to the boat was priceless. I'm back!!!

Awesome pictures and a great show tenacity. I'm just curious if it affects the way you work. I would assume extractions and the like could be more physically taxing.
Fortunately I'm right handed and it was left shoulder. For about 3 weeks it was nothing but patient exams and gradually started working easy things and now I can perform any work I have.

Lol.......likewise. Yes I reckon we have both been on this board together for awhile now! My assumption is that you are spending most of your time over in the turkey forum!

Nah I don't stay on here much anymore but FB really sucks and the turkey hunters on there have turned into the whiniest bunch I've ever seen. I'm so sick of everyone telling everyone else what to kill and how to kill it!!

Lol.....the facebook turkey hunters are a horrible bunch for sure. Always crying and complaining about everything.

Glad you got to get back out there!

I used to love fishing for them below Percy Priest when I was in college in Nashville. Destroyed them in the spring after some good rains below Ross Barnett in Jackson, MS for several years.

Haven't gotten to fish for them in a couple decades, and I miss it for sure!

Ross Barnett was my home lake before I moved to Antioch last November. Stripers there are hard to come by now

Had one week back in '01 where we got 14 inches of rain in a couple days, they opened all the gates, and even the parking lot was under water. I was the fellow out there in chest waders standing on top of the submerged picnic table. Caught over 500 stripers and hybrids between 5lbs and 15lbs that week.

personal best striper below the spillway was 26lbs. Back then the lake record was 29lbs and I was SO trying to break it!

PB below Priest was 35lbs, but I hooked several well over that who spooled me.
