Finally got him....

I've trapped 8 or 9 groundhogs over the last few years in my backyard, they like to live under my shed. This one was the toughest to get. It took 3 days for him to finally go into my trap. I guess the taste for cantaloupe was just more than he could stand.....

Cantaloupe has a sweet taste I think-my wife really likes them with a little salt..

It's good clean meat-you just need to remove the kernels out of them

Step father-in-law says he grew up eating groundhog and sweet potatoes cooked together....said it was good.

The only cooked one i've been around still had the head on and i just wasn't in the mood. It did smell good.

My dad had a pet groundhog as a child and claimed it was the most affectionate pet he'd ever had.

They are excellent! Taste a lot like roast beef, especially when cooked like roast beef.

Me and a neighbor killed several and haven't seen any in a while and all of a sudden I saw one earlier this month and killed it. Was mowing 2 days later and saw another and killed it too.
