Yep.

After over 40 years I've found some reason to watch public TV....since the food network has decided to do more competitive cooking shows, etc. and less in the way of straight on instructional cooking shows - I found myself watching less.

I was surfing the higher numbers on our local cable and found 'Create' which has several different shows. I like watching Jasques Pepin as well as when he's on with the late Julia Child.

Cooks Country/America's Test Kitchen is pretty good at times as is John Besh.

I guess my favorite is Nick Stellino - although I found that he made an appearance in one of the Twilight movies...which rather tarnishes his reputation a bit. :D

Food Network also created the Cooking Channel... that is where all of their instructional cook show went...

I like John Besh's show as well as mind of a chef.

America's Test Kitchen is one of the best shows out there, judging solely on content. It's one of the worst produced, poorly executed, and airs the most bland personalities ever.

I hate listening to (but love laughing at) them moan and grunt (like in Skinemax porn) when they're tasting their latest creation.

But the approach to the show is great. I guess if they want to improve their production value, it's time to leave PBS.
