Me and my dad are building some trough style deer feeders for my farm. Does anyone know what the maximum height of the trough should be and still allow fawns to feed in it?

Thanks in advance!

Just a wild guess but I'd say no more than 18 inches for the highest point a deer would have to reach over. Fawns shouldn't be eating dry feed until after weaning so they'll have some size on them before they use the feeder.
