I saw one last night on the way home. It ran out in front of me and stopped in the road. Guessing by the size it looks to be about the size of fawns I see in August. 3rd rut?? This was about 10 miles north of Jackson.
Probably the fawn of a fawn. Female fawns can reach the body size necessary to achieve estrus, but that can happen very late in the year, sometimes as late as March.
Seeing spotted fawns in November or later on rare occassion is OK. That's just Nature "trying everything." But seeing them regularly in November or later (in TN) would suggest a real problem.
