I have to say.. I haven't been a fan of War Eagle in the past.

Yesterday I went down to Guntersville. I tied on a War Eagle.. and caught 4 bass and a drum in about an hour. My spinnerbait was bent up and mashed up after every fish. I bent it back in shape and it ran great.

Looks like I need to give them some more time!

(stupid drum!)

The diameter and material of the wire on a spinnerbait is critical. That's why I like the hank Parker classic. It has about the smallest diameter wire I've seen on one, therefore more action and vibration. Yes they don't last long after catching a few fish but they work. That's why I've never cared for terminator or various others. They're just not the same.

My handmade spinnerbaits are my favorite. I use a gamakatsu hook, long enough so you really don't need a trailer, if you are a person who normally uses trailer hooks.

I use hildebrandt and stan sloan blades, powder paint and bake them. Buy material and make my own skirts.

They are great and catch fish.
