i did a little testing with the 250gr shockwave bonded, with the original black sabot, last year on a half dozen deer or so. they worked really well.

XTP's always work at normal muzzleloader ranges. used these for years.

standard shockwaves(yellow tip), i have had mixed results. my experience with them is they are very accurate but you better stay away from bone!

SST's about the same as shockwaves.

these are the ones that i have used on deer. my rifles like a tight fitting sabot it seems, so you might want to try different bullets if you can afford it to pick the right bullet for your rig. good luck.

What do you mean by this?

the bullet broke up on a shoulder shot, deer dropped on the spot, but no exit wound. on behind the shoulder broadside shots it performed great.

the bonded bullet doesnt matter, it expands well on rib shots as well as shoulder shots and retains about 85 percent.

here are some of the pics from the bonded bullet:

Barnes 245 grain Spitfire or 250 grain TMZ. Haven't seen anything yet that comes close to accuracy and terminal performance on game.
