Just curious as to when y'all start to make the transition from fall food plots to spring plots. I have a couple food plots mainly done in turnips right now, when would y'all recommend getting the turnips out and start disking for the spring food plots? Spring plot is going to be soybean, cowpea, and lablab that I plan on planting mid April. Also, at which point during this transition do I need to take a soil sample? Thanks in advance for your input.

I'll do all my dirt work first of April then plant after all the corn and sunflowers are planted somewhere around 2nd week if May

Will turn the dirt in a couple weeks to let the residual start rotting, may spray once, and frost seed clover on part, plant the rest mid April

Sooner the better...I Just took a backpack blower and cleared off a plot I built in the pine woods, will try to get samples pulled in the next 2-3 days, and get the lime accordingly. Sweeten those plots to get a good strong start for some white/red clover mix before March 1! Good luck
